Jacob Hamlin is a resident of Mid-Michigan and is currently pursuing a bachelor's in secondary music education at Central Michigan University. At CMU, he is involved in multiple ensembles, including the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, and big band. In addition to those, he is also involved in various chamber ensembles, including Orpheus Brass Trio, trumpet choirs, and brass quartet/quintets.
Aside from ensembles, Jacob also enjoys playing multiple instruments. Although starting on trumpet in the 6th grade, he picked up the trombone and also dabbles in other instruments as needed for technique classes at CMU. He also plays a little piano and guitar on the side. Side projects for Jacob have included gigging, running a social media page, and making/selling 3d printed mutes.
